Allied Soil Health (ASH) has partnered with Stircor Services to provide farmers with a wood-based biochar that meets NRCS specifications.  Stircor’s biochar is made into a densified granule that can be used in most fertilizer spreaders, handles well, and has no dust. 

As a technical service provider, ASH consultants will work with farmers and the NRCS to ensure biochar is applied at the right rate and right time. 

Stircor is offering to eliminate the financial risks by providing the biochar and cover the cost of shipping through an assignment of payment. Once the biochar is spread and the practice is certified by the NRCS, Stircor will reimburse farmers up to $300 per acre (more per acre if historically underserved).
